Nomad Tote
A quiet everyday object transformed through slow craft.
This oversized cotton tote is constructed from durable natural cotton canvas and adorned with a sculptural spiral patchwork created from upcycled artisanal textile vines. Hand-coiled and carefully stitched, the surface intervention carries traces of previous textiles, reclaimed fibres, and layered material histories.
The spiral form evokes movement found in nature — unfurling fern fronds, river eddies, seed formations, and cyclical time. Each coil is composed through intuitive hand placement, allowing colour, texture, and imperfection to emerge organically.
Spacious yet grounded, the tote is designed to move between utility and artefact — a functional carrier shaped by hand processes and textile memory.
No two pieces are exactly alike. Variations in texture, stitching, and colour placement are part of the individuality of each handcrafted object.
